Scroll down to HB2493.

It's obvious what the intentions of the sponsors are. More of the same attempts to get their religion imposed on our children.

The second regular session has begun on January 14th. This bill was introduced at that time and has not been voted. Minutes of the Education committee have not been posted yet.

I urge everyone to write their representatives in he legislature to vote against this bill. You can find your representative's contact information at http://www.azleg.state.az.us. This web site is also good for tracking the progress of any bill introduced in the Arizona legislature.

There will be more on this issue since it's just getting started. I will keep you all posted on the latest news. If anyone learns anything, please let me know ASAP.

Thanks go out to Mike Ross for bringing this matter to my attention at today's meeting. The article "Stupid bills in Legislature already have begun" can be found at:

Our sympathies go out to Ruth Yeager who lost her son on January 5th to illness. Ruth had been taking care of him for quite some time and it consumed most of her time. It was a long battle. In my opinion, loosing a son or daughter is one of the worst tragedies a person can go through.

Although Ruth does not use email, I will print any emails you send me and forward them to her.

Ruth has not missed a meeting or social event we have organized since I have been hosting meetings here in Arizona. Driving is not an easy thing for Ruth but she manages to do itevery month to attend.

I am honored to have Ruth attend my meetings and my heart goes out to her in her time of heavy loss.
